This painting was inspired by the landscapes of Chaim Soutine and might be more appropriately named "The Red Roof." However, anyone who has stayed at a Red Roof Inn will understand why I didn't use that name. With this picture, I was trying to capture a feeling of mystery and loneliness...The Red House.
