This is a portrait of the incomparable James Brown, on display at Zoie's restaurant and performing arts venue in downtown Saint Petersburg.

I used a combination of texture paste, acrylics, clay shaping tools, scraping tools, and multiple oil washes to achieve the unique look of this piece.
